We report an environmentally pleasant electrochemical oxidation of tetrahydroquinolines to three,4-dihydroquinolones. The response makes use of electrical energy as a “traceless” oxidant, O2 as a “inexperienced” oxygen supply, and a pair of,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinooxy (TEMPO) as a redox mediator.
